BlitzPulls Event Display
Role: Branding & Graphic Designer
Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator
Great design thrives within constraints. When working with an established brand identity, the challenge isn't just adhering to existing guidelines but finding strategic ways to elevate them across new mediums.
As the graphic designer for trading card collector and vendor BlitzPulls, my role was to translate his digital brand identity into a high-impact physical display for card shows and conventions. The products needed to stand out in crowded, noisy environments while remaining instantly recognizable.
Working with the clients existing logo, I designed a custom TCG card that reinforced the niche, serving as a hero graphic that included card stats, personalized flavor text and social handles.
I transformed a standalone logo into an impactful centerpiece for a design with large-format printing in mind.
The custom display suite included a tablecloth and a vertical banner in the brands existing black and gold color palette. The two products had different design requirements but needed to remain cohesive.
The tablecloth was designed to be instantly legible from a distance. At card shows and conventions this product would be more obstructed than the vertical banner as customers approached the table, so I focused on simplicity and avoiding clutter. In this design I opted to use an enlarged version of the logo to achieve this, saving the custom card graphic for the vertical banner. This banner would be situated at eye level, making it a great place to showcase enticing visuals that simultaneously served as a direct vehicle for customer action. BlitzPulls social handles and direct payment QR codes were added with customer ease & engagement in mind.
Both product designs prioritized clear visual hierarchy and honoring the existing brand identity. The result was a professional pressence that helped drive foot traffic and engagement. Take a look at how it went from design concept to IRL:
